Tampa attractions are huge in variety and massive in entertainment. With choices from parks such as Busch Gardens or Cypress Gardens for the adventurous to the classical such as the Performing Arts Center.

Tampa Florida Attractions

Adventure Island - Tampa's Water Park

Tampa Florida attractions start with this famous water park with rides such as Riptide - Florida's first 4 lane mat slide or perhaps you prefer the Key West Rapids where you ride through 700 feet of gnarly twists and turns. A fantastic day out!

Bishop Planetarium

With the aid of one of the advanced digital projection systems in the world this is an astronomy experience not to be missed. Explore the universe in this state of the art domed theatre with an amazing sound system booming out 25000 watts!

Bok Tower Gardens

If tranquility is what you're after then this is surely the place. With 128 acres of gardens filled with meandering trails with lots of nooks and crannies to sit and rest make this a lush and tranquil setting.

Busch Gardens

Of all the attractions in Tampa this has to be the most well known and most famous of all Tampa attractions. A fantastic zoo and some of the best and fastest roller coaster rides in the world makes Busch Gardens a great family venue with something for everyone.

Of all the tourist attractions in Tampa this is the one you must visit. A full day visiting wild animals from across the world and scaring yourself with exhilarating rides this is a fabulous mixture of fun for all your family.

Chimp Farm - Suncoast Primate Sanctuary

This monkey sanctuary runs on donations and is run by volunteers. If you want a day out to meet some primates and help a worthy cause at the same time then this is the place to visit.

Cypress Gardens

This re-vamped park has been given a new lease of life with some great rides and fantastic gardens. Your opportunity to have the scream ripped from the back of your throat on the Thunderbolt ride or walk down Natures Way and see over 300 animals and reptiles. A great family park.

Dinosaur World

Tampa attractions also includes its own park dedicated to the recreation of prehistoric times with over 150 dinosaur displays on show. A fun day out.

Heritage Village

This living history museum has over 25 structures spread across 21 acres and gives you the opportunity to see real history with some features of this park dating back to the 19th century. One of the best ways to understand Americas past.

Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

Attractions in Tampa includes this fantastic wildlife park home to panthers, alligators, crocodiles, otters and many more including the famous manatees. Many of the manatees have been born or rehabilitated at the park.

The Florida Aquarium

One of the best Tampa attractions. The Florida Aquarium tells Florida's story of a drop of water from its source to when it reaches the open sea and all the life it engages during its journey.

The journey covers the Wetlands with otters and birds to Coral Reef where you can see some amazing marine life and for the scuba divers amongst you there is the opportunity to dive with sharks!

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa attractions includes Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo with more than 2200 animals on show so you will find something of interest for everyone. Throughout the day you are given the opportunity to get up close to the animals as the zoo educates its visitors on the animals in its care.

The Parker Manatee Aquarium

This 60000 gallon pool has both deep and shallow water designed to house three manatees. The Parker Manatee Aquarium works closely with Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo's hospital for manatees and is home for Tampa's official mascot, Snooty, the manatee.

The St. Petersburg Pier

A good place to relax, go shopping and enjoy dining at one of the restaurants on the pier or perhaps you just fancy a pizza or burger, no problem, there is plenty of choice at this pier. There's even an aquarium if you haven't had enough looking at fish during your scuba dives.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

Tampa Florida attractions also includes a piece of Vegas! This Hard Rock hotel and casino offers accommodation, bars, slot machines, poker, and nightclub. A great place to spend the evening either to just enjoy the food and bars or perhaps try your luck.

Spook Hill

Tampa attractions includes the weird! If you've hired a car then you have to visit Spook Hill. In days gone by this was a major attraction but has lost its appeal over the years. There is a sign dedicated to Spook Hill and the line in the road that marks 'the spot' is now very faded but, go on, stop the car, take it out of gear, and watch it roll uphill!

The Historic Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks

World famous sponges gave rise to this Greek community with its restaurants, markets and bakeries. You can take a trip on the Spongeorama sightseeing cruise and take in the historic sights and wildlife.

Weeki Wachee Springs

Now classified as a Florida State Park Weeki Wachee Springs has everything from Lazy Rives rides along one of the clearest rivers you will ever see to an Underwater Theatre where you can watch mermaids perform. A great family day out with great waterslides at Buccaneer Bay a sandy area of the park that is fed by the springs.

Wildlife - Big Cat Rescue

Tampa attractions are not all about making money. Take a look at this sanctuary for all those big cats that have been abused or misused during their lifetime. Now with over 100 residents this rescue center educates visitors on big cats and all donations go directly to supporting the cats.
