Scuba Diving Liveaboards in Florida the Amazing Experience

If you are in Key Largo scuba diving liveaboards are an excellent way to explore the dive sites especially USCG Bibb.

Like The USCG Cutter Duane, The USCG Bibb had the doors above the main deck removed, and The Bibb had her hull sealed before being flooded.

Her port railing is reachable at 95 feet and the hull rests on her starboard side at 130ft.

You will be advised by the local Dive shops not to penetrate as there are many loose wires and entanglements and due to the angle at which she lays you can easily get disorientated.

This is a deep dive with a limited amount of time on site and there are often strong currents. However the waters here tend to be crystal clear with good visibility.

The marine life here is incredible, with barracuda, groupers, cobia and various sharks cruising on by!

If you’re an advanced wreck diver, you will not want to miss the Bibb.

With the strong currents on the day I dived using the buoy connected to the stern of the ship.

I was amazed at her pristine condition and the marine life was nothing short of stunning.

Regretted not having longer down there as we saw numerous sharks some of which came very close and I would have liked to have watched them longer. Stunning creatures!

One of the attractions of Florida Key scuba diving is that you will be able to take underwater photographs or underwater videos such as the one below. With excellent light and clear waters you will be able to get some excellent shots.
