Discover Miami's Hidden Delights

My first glimpse of Miami was via 'The Miami Dolphins' and 'Miami Vice'.

Whilst one was sport and the second fiction all I know is it looked hot and exciting!

You will find Miami an amazing city with an international appeal. The skyline tells you this is a modern city but it also has South Beach, an area famous for its Art Deco with a fabulous atmosphere day and night.

A popular tourist city, Miami vacations wouldn't be complete without visiting Miami's many attractions such as a visit to South Beach exploring areas such as:

Washington & Collins Avenues - Washington Avenue is world famous for having the world's largest and most popular nightclubs, such as Crobar and Mansion.

Whilst Collins Avenue is better known for its Art Deco hotels and nightclubs.

Ocean Drive - is home to several higly publicised restaurants including News Cafe, Mango's, and Clevelander (which was made famous on MTV)

Lincoln Road Mall - Originally envisioned to be the Miami Beach counterpart to Fifth Avenue in New York, or Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. A thriving shopping and dining area. Unique stores, restaurants and cafés. A fabulous area to people watch whilst sitting at your favourite café or bar.

Miami vacations bring culture like no other city with every food imaginable with a fabulous multitude of languages in this truly cosmopolitan city.

If Miami and especially South Beach sounds too fast and furious then you can try the quieter areas of Coconut Grove or Key Biscayne

Miami Scuba Diving

There are now dozens of dive boats operating in the Miami area ready to take you to some fantastic dive sites.

In the early 1980's a program was put together to protect Florida's coral reefs by creating artificial reefs with the use of an airplane, army tanks, ships, tugs and numerous other manmade structures that are enviromentally friendly and create habitats for Florida's marine life.

The program has been a huge success and Miami scuba diving is now about adventurous diving with incredible wrecks teeming with coral growth and marine life.

Some of these dive sites are available for novice divers or you can dive and snorkel off the reefs around Key Biscayne and Elliot Key.

Scuba Videos

One of the attractions of Miami scuba diving is that you will be able to take underwater photographs or underwater videos such as the one below. With excellent light and clear waters you will be able to get some excellent shots.

Miami scuba diving can sap you of energy if your not careful!

The trouble with Miami vacations is that there is so much to see and do as well as scuba diving! The nightlife is incredible and you may find yourself enjoying yourself so much that you forget about that morning after dive.

A truly fabulous city but I have tried to warn you - pace yourself and have fun!
