Bath and Tennis Reef is a symmetrical shaped reef being 1100 meters long and 550 meters across with long ridges and edges defining its shape. This stunning reef is located east of Mar-a-Lago a seaside mansion built in a wealthy estate.

West Palm Beach – Reef Diving

The reef is at a depth of 30 feet at its shallowest going down to 65 feet where the reef meets the sandy seabed. This reef is prolific with various marine types of life with its relatively shallow depth and warm waters.

Although not often dived by Palm Beach scuba diving centers this reef provides the ideal opportunity for underwater photography and macro photography. With so many nooks and crannies provided by the ridges and coral formations you will discover plenty of lobsters and other crustaceans together with a huge variety of fish that frequent this reef.

Fish that you can expect to encounter on this reef are bicolour damselfish, masked and glass goby, purple reeffish, brown chromis, white grunts and bluehead wrasse to name but a few. The light on this reef and the backdrop of some colourful and stunning sponges makes for taking some incredible scuba photos.

TerenceTerence’s Log

This is a photographer’s haven. The reef is just as photogenic on top as it is on the sides and there are plenty of colourful sponges and corals to make the ideal background or macro photography.

The light is incredible and this is one of Palm Beach’s most colourful reefs which makes it all the more incredible that it is not dived that often by the local diving centers.
