Hammerhead Reef is out on the third reef line and the reef reaches a depth of 60 feet on the inner west side of the reef and reaches 80 feet on the Atlantic east side of the reef. This is a long stretch of reef and in some places it reaches up 24 feet from the sandy floor.

One of the attractions of this reef is there are plenty of nooks and crannies with ledges and undercuts which are ideal for lobsters, fish and turtles which often use these protected areas as a place to rest and sleep.

There is plenty of growth of corals and sponges along this reef providing a great backdrop for underwater videos and underwater photographs especially on the inner sheltered side.

There are plenty of fish along this reef and you will want to keep an eye on the sand along this reef as you drift dive along its expanse and discover southern stingrays and other stunning fish.……
