Fishers Pedestal is a fabulous reef with a huge variety of hard corals and is therefore one of the most popular reefs in Fort Lauderdale.

The reef is easy to find as it is located on the inside of the middle reef rising up from the sandy seabed.

Once at this reef you will see why it received its name as you look upon three very large mushroom shaped heads of coral that produce the shape of a triangle. These pedestal shaped corals are in 30 foot of water at the base a reach up 12 feet making them easily seen from the surface.

The is a pleasant relaxing reef full of amazing marine life such as crabs, lobsters , shrimps and a variety of fish waiting their turn to be cleaned by fish such as neon gobies. The reef is home to angelfish, barracuda, groupers, damselfish and many more.
