Islamorada Scuba
Islamorada Scuba Diving
Islamorada scuba diving is located between Key Largo and Key West and offers you some interesting dive sites if available such as the Aquarius Underwater Laboratory.
Scuba divers may consider Key Largo the ‘Diving Capital of the World’ but Islamorada is certainly the ‘Sports Fishing Capital of the World’
Islamorada – pronounced aisle-a-more-AH-dah (I have been pronouncing it wrong for years!) – means the purple island. It is a village of islands consisting of Lower Matecumbe Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Windley Key, Plantation Key, Lignumvitae Key and Indian Key spread over some 20 miles.
Islamorada scuba diving still has many interesting dive sites throughout the area but the whole area is far more famous for its fishing and is home to a vast quantity of marinas and fishing boats.
Finding a place to stay, or a restaurant where you can eat in the evening and watch a stunning sunset is easy throughout Islamorada with plenty of choices.
Weather - Average temperatures of 76 – 78 degrees with blue skies over 300 days of the year so sun tan lotion and cool beers and wine a must!
Places to stay - Islamorada has everything, rentals, condos, cheap hotels, top hotels, villas, and beach resorts. Everything to cater for every need and every pocket so finding accommodation for your dream stay couldn’t be easier.
