Florida is well known for its car hire schemes with visitors from all over the world exploring the state from Key West to Miami and from Orlando to Tampa Bay.

This is a massive business and a competitive business so you should be able to get the deal that suits you.

All of the major companies are available and usually close to the airport at which you land so getting to the car rental depot is easy and the companies usually provide a shuttle service to get you from the airport to the car rental premises.

With so much choice and so many companies involved it's easy to hire the car you want at the price you want to pay so take you time and select the right car rental package for you.

One other thing you want to remember when you travel to the sunny state of Florida. If this is an adventure holiday and an opportunity to explore Florida, then remember there are other ways to travel other than by car.

If you don't want to drive or cycle and plan on using the public systems then you will find Florida has a superb network of buses and trains which are easily accessable from the airports when you land.

You may want to check timetables before you leave for your vacation as you will want to plan your journey if you intend using the bus or rail network.

Obviously renting a car does provide you with more flexibility as once you have done the paperwork at the office you are on your Florida adventure

The great beauty of travelling to Florida is that Florida car rentals are so easy to arrange and my one advice would be to upgrade your vehicle to the biggest and best you can afford as it certainly adds to the experience.

Any upgrade is relatively inexpensive and I have always found all the companies very helpful.

I only passed my motorbike test last summer and now drive a Kawasaki 1200cc so I can't wait to rent a harley Davidson the next time I'm in town!
