Diving Florida Scuba Trips at Turtle Reef or Turtle for the Worlds Ultimate Diving Experience

Turtle Rocks

One of the furthest northern Key Largo sites for coral reef diving. Florida scuba divers may find this a novice dive compared to others in Key largo. The reef is situated on the very northern edge of the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary, a few miles from Grayvik.

Turtle Reef or Turtle Rocks, is a shallow, good-sized patch reef running north to south.

Diving takes place on the eastern side and due to the shallow waters this is also an excellent area for snorkeling. Like the rest of Florida, snorkel here and be dazzled!
Visibility is very good as the dive site is protected from any strong currents.

The dive site reaches the sandy bottom at 8m (25 feet).

Whilst the Star Coral formations are interesting, and with plenty of caves and archways providing shelter for the marine life, including Eagle Rays and sharks; without doubt, the star attraction is the turtles.

Green Turtles, Hawksbill Turtles and Loggerhead turtles abound in this area and are worth seeing.

Not much I can say about this dive except it was absolutely fabulous snorkeling amongst so many cousins!

An amazing snorkeling site!

One of the attractions of Florida Key scuba diving is that you will be able to take underwater photographs or underwater videos such as the one below. With excellent light and clear waters you will be able to get some excellent shots.
